He's no Randy Johnson (5 time Cy Young winner), but as a solid pitcher and starter for Ohio State, Alex Wimmers is a winner for the Twins. Predicted Twins draft pick, Deck McGuire, was drafted early on by the Toronto Blue Jays as the 11th overall draft pick in the 2010 MLB Draft, leaving a great range of ball players remaining to be drafted. Wimmers is a strikeout hurler with a fast ball in the upper 80s-mid 90s, a decent but could be improved curve ball in the low 70s and a presence and command of the mound befitting a 1st round draft choice.
